Apprenticeships add up for accountants

Naylor Wintersgill Chartered Accountants based in Bradford city centre has added to its growing team with the appointment of two new accountancy trainees.

Harry Aldridge and Stephanie White joined the firm in September and are starting to study for their Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualifications. Harry joins the firm from Elliott Hudson College and Stephanie has also recently completed her A-levels at New College Bradford.

As an approved training office of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), the firm has offered an apprenticeship programme in Bradford for over 25 years and currently have 10 apprentices at various levels working towards professional qualifications.

Commenting on the firm’s apprenticeship programme, Managing Director Victoria Wainwright said, “The accessibility of job opportunities for young people in the local area is really important to us and we are extremely proud of our long tradition of developing talent internally. We have had over 50 individuals so far in total coming through our doors to study whilst gaining real-life experiences through the world of work and to develop our workforce of the future in our city. We are pleased to welcome Harry and Stephanie to the team!”
