Buttercrumble boasts all-female team with new appointments

Buttercrumble, an award-winning design agency, has grown its team with the appointment of two new creative talents.

The agency was founded by twin sisters, Abigail and Chloe Baldwin, in 2017. They serve international and local clients from their Leeds office. The business adopted a growth mindset over the COVID-19 pandemic and saw a 25% increase in sales between 2020 and 2022. With a record of success, Buttercrumble are expanding its offering – while providing a high-class service – to its impressive client list. The appointments allow Buttercrumble to provide creative consultancy and forecasting options alongside their recognisable graphic design.

Thyra Bankole joins as Creative Champion, following her spell at Burgess Pet Care. Thyra is a recent graduate of Plymouth College of Art. She is a bright and supportive team-player who also spends her time highlighting women of colour in the UK creative industries through her magazine, Melanated.

“I look forward to creating engaging graphics for our design partnerships here at Buttercrumble. I will strive to give our partners the best possible solution for their design queries! I have always enjoyed helping others through creativity, and I am delighted to be able to do that in a supportive and uplifting environment”.

Bankole is joined by Laura Hooton, former Senior Visual Merchandise Manager at Joules, as Buttercrumble’s new Community Happiness Manager. Laura Hooton brings a wealth of commercial experience and is accomplished in bringing brands to life by creating compelling retail environments.

“I love finding creative solutions to problems, bringing ideas to life and helping businesses drive their commercial growth. I want to ensure the positive, collaborative approach with our partners continues and really nurture those relationships. I’m really looking forward to meeting Buttercrumble’s lovely clients… and discovering new ones!”

The appointments have been possible for Buttercrumble after a recent office expansion to Bowcliffe Hall this year. Abigail and Chloe are proud to boast an all-female team and continue to champion women in the creative industries and in business. Their work has recently been noticed by the Great British Businesswomen Awards.

The new experience will offer even greater value for existing clients while supporting new creative innovation within the business. The studio is now looking forward to the future with its new team members on board and new consultancy services underway.
