Don’t Scream! Wins at the Blooloop XR Awards

Horror VR escape room Don’t Scream! The Park Playground was selected as the winner of the ‘Best Arts and Entertainment Solution’ category at the 2023 XR Awards – the definitive guide on augmented reality, mixed reality, and virtual reality technologies in business. The awards celebrate excellence in virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, metaverse technology and innovation that impacts the enterprise.

In this completely new and first-of-its-kind concept called audio output tracking, players are transported to a terrifying haunted escape room in virtual reality. As participants proceed through the escape room, their decibel levels are accurately tracked by audio output technology throughout the 30-minute experience. The volume of each player’s voice is carefully monitored as they react to unexpected and frightful elements that they meet along the way – all of which are expertly created to test the players’ ability not to scream. Because if they scream, they’ll lose points!
