Generous Bradford A True ‘Community Strong’ City

I’ve been a Business Development Manager, in charge of Fundraising, for many different organisations in my 30 year career to date. It’s always a great feeling when you manage to help others and when I was appointed Fundraising Manager for Staying Put, I was delighted.

As a charity that supports people who have been abused, and their children, we’re always looking for support so that we can provide better services. But, even with my many years of experienced in locations across this great country, I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the people and organisations in Bradford. It is, in my experience, THE most community spirited city I have ever encountered.

We have been blown away by the volume of gifts we have received and   ‘Thank you’ doesn’t have enough letters to express how grateful we, and our service users, are.

Gordon’s LLP, Avon, West Bradford Rotarians, Trinity Academy, JCI Toy Appeal, The Hindu Association, Keighley Rotarians, Life Church, Barnardo’s Mother’s Union, Leatherdale’s Christ Church, and Addingham Wednesday Club have all given toys, toiletries, food, kitchen equipment, clothes and a whole lot more. Many other individuals too numerous to mention, have also donated money via our website.
