House builder supports local charities and organisations in West Yorkshire with Community Fund scheme

Local house builder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, is committed to supporting the communities in which it builds with its Community Fund scheme which sees a different local charity or organisation receive £1,000 from the house builder each month.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, which includes the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, donates £1,000 a month to support a local charity or organisation within the Yorkshire West region, which includes Barnsley, Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Wakefield and Worksop.

A different charity benefits from the Community Fund scheme every month throughout the year to show the house builder’s ongoing dedication to supporting the communities in which it builds.

The house builder already supports local charities wherever it can with donations and sponsorships as well as through its ‘donate a day’ volunteering programme, where staff are invited to spend a day with a charity of their choice, with previous activities taking place with Candlelighters, The Donkey Sanctuary in Wetherby and KidsOut.

Ian Ruthven, Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West commented:

“Local charities and organisations make a significant impact on the lives of the people of West Yorkshire, and it is really important to us that we give back to the communities in which we build, and our Community Fund aims to do just that. We are really looking forward to working with charities and organisations across the region that will benefit throughout this year and beyond.”

Local organisations and charities who are interested in being considered for the Community Fund scheme should seek nomination from a third party. To apply for the Community Fund, please contact Sharon Holmes at sharon.holmes@barratthomes.co.uk
