Schofield Sweeney help families in need by supporting the Secret Santa appeal

Schofield Sweeney are delighted to be supporting JCI’s Secret Santa Appeal, a charitable appeal that sees thousands of gifts donated to disadvantaged families and children across Bradford.

The Bradford Junior Chamber International (JCI) Secret Santa Appeal is one of the biggest appeals of its kind in the country and runs each year in the run up to Christmas.

Now in its 31st year, the project has enjoyed enormous success thanks to the generosity of local people, schools, and businesses.

Organisers estimate that more than 100,000 gifts have been donated to deprived children who otherwise wouldn’t have received a present on Christmas Day since the appeal started in 1989, with thousands of presents being donated each year, that number continues to rise.

Schofield Sweeney’s collection was organised by solicitors Jessica Fielden and Abigail Falshaw.

“Thank you so much for everyone’s support and contributions this year. We are pleased to confirm we have collected a whopping 118 gifts which is fantastic, particularly given how tricky a year it has been and that most are working remotely.”

“We’re so grateful that everyone has been so willing to support the appeal and donate gifts. Your gifts really will make a fantastic difference to many children this Christmas!” Abigail Falshaw.

Jessica Fielden added: “The appeal is something that Bradford and Yorkshire, as a community, should be extremely proud of.

“There are so many people and local organisations eager to get involved, most of whom have been involved for a number of years, and their continued support and generosity is inspiring.

“The appeal has gone from strength-to-strength thanks to the support from the Bradford community, and it’s fantastic to see such positivity in Bradford”.
