Victoria Wainwright of Naylor Wintersgill in running for Regional Award

Victoria Wainwright, Managing Director of Naylor Wintersgill Chartered Accountants headquartered in Bradford city centre has been shortlisted in the ‘Managing Partner of the Year’ category at the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2023.

The individual finalists in the category have been recognised by the independent judging panel of local and national experts for their significant contribution to their organisation’s growth, dedication to clients, and contribution to employee development and welfare. There was also a strong focus on the managing partner’s broader contribution to the profession and the local business community.

Victoria, who started her accountancy career as the very first apprentice at Naylor Wintersgill, commented, “Just to be nominated for this award is amazing! I’m proud to lead such a dedicated team who I believe are the key to the overall success of the firm. Their commitment to our core values underpin the strong culture we have developed here, and it’s what really makes Naylor Wintersgill a great place for our clients and our colleagues to grow and succeed, together.”

Naylor Wintersgill team member Darren Hindle, who has been with the firm for over 15 years also said, “Having Victoria as our managing director is very rewarding and she is an exceptional role model. Knowing that she was the firm’s first trainee and has progressed to managing director has encouraged me to achieve my own goals”.

Victoria qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) at Naylor Wintersgill in the year 2000 and went on to become Managing Director in 2012. She is currently President of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce as well as being a Board Member of the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

The annual awards ceremony will take place at New Dock Hall in Leeds on 23rd February 2023.
